Pitcher, Quince, Radish

Original oil painting on deep profile wrapped canvas. I handcrafted the wood float-style frame using reclaimed oak slats used in local Finger Lakes wine production.

When there is more than one item in my still life, I often choose them with the first letter of each being consecutive in the alphabet. For this painting, Pitcher, Quince, Radish, the consecutve letters are P, Q and R. What stands out in this painting is the high saturation of color. The color of the turquiose pitcher is not exaggerated, it is a bright and cheerful piece!
